Ministry Teams

  • NC Baptist men

Our vision is to see “every Christian sharing God’s love with hurting people through word and deed.” We believe that all Christians are called, gifted and sent, and our desire is to see men, women and students from local churches involved in missions and ministry in the name of Jesus.        https://ncbaptist.org/baptists-on-mission/

Woman's Missionary Union of North Carolina is a missions organization whose purpose is to challenge, prepare and equip Christian believers to be radically involved in the fulfillment of the Great Commission.

MISSIONS

The Missions Team of UBA plans mission trips at various times throughout the year.

  • sunday school

Sunday School is an inclusive, open ministry through which growing disciples “do” discipleship by building relationships (with people in their world) into friendships, and then connecting and assimilating those new friends in a small, open group where they can find compassion, hope, and community; a ministry for the whole person; a welcoming, open environment where they can discover a personal relationship with Christ and experience life-changing Bible study.

The Sunday School Department of our association offers resources to our local churches to assist them in the work of small group Bible study.     https://ncbaptist.org/sunday-school/

  • evangelism

Evangelism is the growth agent of the Body of Christ. Union Baptist Association supports churches in their evangelistic efforts by offering training and special events that assist congregations as they seek to reach their communities with the Gospel.  https://ncbaptist.org/3-evangelistic-tools-you-need-to-check-out/

  • discipleship

DiscipleNC desires to partner with you and your church to train, equip and send out others to share the gospel and make disciples.

To make disciples assumes that one is already a disciple themselves. Resting in the abiding love of Christ and joyously conforming to His will precedes the work set before us. Living on mission means that we must share the gospel in the context of relationships. These are the roots of discipleship; where we gather in the meaningful fellowship of God’s people, encourage one another onto the mission of God, and emerge as missionaries unto our neighborhoods, workplaces, and other circles of influence.                        https://ncbaptist.org/adult-evangelism-and-discipleship/

Union County, NC Our Mission Field

For many years Union County was a sleepy community situated east of Charlotte. Starting in the mid to late 1970's and early 1980's the population began to grow exponentially.  New neighborhoods began popping up around Indian Trail and Matthews. The growth continued into Weddington and beyond. Today, Union County has a population of 235,908 according to a July, 2018 estimate. Along with the staggering growth the county has experienced also comes the challenge of a diversified ethnic makeup. The peoples of the world are coming to Union County, NC. Our churches are adjusting their outreach efforts to include these people groups. Some people groups have planted new churches. Many more are needed. The current time in which we live  is very exciting as we consider the task at hand in fulfilling the Great Commission.
