From Dr. Eric Cook
Welcome to the Union Baptist Association website. We hope you will take a few minutes to explore God’s Kingdom work through the churches of the Association. The MISSION of the UBA is to support our cooperating churches in their divinely appointed task of fulfilling the Great Commission. Our mission strategy to do this is accomplished in four ways through:
1) Promoting Missions, 2) Developing Leadership, 3) Nurturing Partnerships, and 4) Strengthening Churches.
“Assisting Churches in Advancing the Gospel,” is our maxim. Because of the various functions of the Association the accomplishing of this task takes on many forms. The demonstration of this truth is seen in our partnership efforts of church planting, church revitalization, mission endeavors, various church administrative functions, conflict resolution, leadership development, evangelism training, deepening discipleship, and a host of other ministry areas.
UBA THEME FOR 2020:
STRONGER TOGETHER!
"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, for he has no one to help him up. Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm; But how can one be warm alone? Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken." Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
