Union Baptist Association was organized in 1854, and named Brown Creek Association. The name was changed to Union Baptist Association in 1884. Today, Union Baptist Association is made up of (79) seventy-nine Southern Baptist Churches. Despite many changes through the years, the association's reason for existence has never altered. Union Baptist Association exists to help Baptist churches of Union County, North Carolina, tell the story of Jesus Christ and His love.
