Upcoming Events in our Churches

We have VBS material left from this years VBS theme “Galactic Starveyors”.  If you or someone you know could use this material for  an upcoming mission trip or a Backyard Bible Club, please call the UBA office, 704-283-8383.

The UBA Youth Committee is excited to announce that we will partner, for the fourth year with   "Feeding the Children Everywhere" Ministries to package food.  Youth leaders, please mark your calendars for Saturday, Sept. 23rd, 9 am – 12:00 noon in one hour increments for volunteers.     Location will be the Union Baptist Association Missions Resource Center, 1744 Williams Road. Our goal this year is to package 20k meals at a cost of $7,000.  We are  asking our churches to please consider giving to our Feeding the Children Project.  Pledges and gifts can be called in or sent at any time to help us reach our $7,000 goal. Following the hour your group works would be a great time to have your group go out in your community and do one or more mission need(s) within your church community on that same day. This can be helping a church member or any family that has a need in your community. We ask that every church prayerfully consider supporting this easy mission opportunity with our need of 200 + volunteers and helping us raise the funds needed.  If you have business owners in your congregation that can give or your church can take a love offering as most churches did last year, the goal will be met. Pledges have already started coming in and we will be sending final details soon. To register volunteers please call 704.283.8383. We will post this event in all information being sent out and on our web page and it will be sent to the distribution list we currently have. This event will be for students of all ages but of course targeted for our youth and college students. (children under age 7 will be required to have an adult chaperone) For more info, go to  www.feedingthechildreneverywhere.com .

Fruitland Baptist Bible College

UBA Road Trip

Tuesday October 10th the churches of the UBA are making a trip to Fruitland Baptist Bible College in Hendersonville, NC. Fruitland is having an Alumni and Friends day. We are hoping to take a couple busloads of interested people from our Association to go to the College. Anyone is welcome to go with us on the trip. We will tour the campus and worship with them during their Chapel Service. We will get lunch and on the way home, stop at a local apple orchard to do some shopping. We hope you will make plans to go with us for an enjoyable day of seeing the leaves and supporting the students at Fruitland Baptist Bible College.

We also hope our trip will draw more attention to our SATELLITE CAMPUS here at the Union Baptist      Association. Fruitland students meet at the UBA twice a week for classes. We hope the trip will bring more awareness of the school here in our midst and the great opportunity to serve those in ministry.

If you plan on going, please contact our office (704) 283-8383 and let them know you are going. This will   allow us to get an accurate count so we will have enough transportation for the trip.
